Signing of a covenant with the 'aecc
Last May 6th. the Spanish Association against Cancer (aecc*), ICO and the Biomedical Research Institute at the Dr Josep Trueta Hospital (Idibgi) in Girona signed a covenant thanks to which the aecc will provide funds for a research project of ICO’s in Girona (see the ICOnews 91 of March’08). The project, directed by Javier Menéndez, will run for three years and counts on an allowance of €300,000 euros. It is the biggest allowance ever for a project assigned to a non-profitable entity in our country. The Project will study, among others, the role of endogenic fat acids in some breast tumours.
