Eduard Punset visits ICO to give the lecture “The
soul is in the brain” |

at 4 p.m. at the ICO centre in Hospitalet. |

This lecture is part of the cycle “Oncology Agora” organised
by the Foundation of the Catalan Oncology Institute. |

Eduard Punset is an economist, a lawyer, a journalist, and the author
of several books on economy analysis and social thinking. |

Eduard Punset
was born in Barcelona. A lawyer and an economist, he played
a relevant role in the opening of Spain to the other countries
when he was the Minister of Relationship with the European
Communities. He also participated in the setting of the “Autonomies
State” as a Finance advisor for the Generalitat and as
president of the European Parliament Delegation in Poland.
He was partly responsible for the economic transformation of
the Eastern countries after the fall of the Berlin Wall. Besides,
he has been an economy journalist for the BBC and The Economist
and a representative of the International Monetary Fund. He
has written, among other books, Journey to Happiness and The
soul is in the brain.
