ICO coordinates the meeting, within the framework of INTERLYMPH
On June 14th and 15th, the 6th anual meeting of INTERLYMPH (International
Lymphoma Epidemiology Consortium) is held. It is organized by ICO
with the support of CREAL (Environmental Epidemiology Research
Centre, after the acronym in Spanish), located in the Biomedic
Research Park in Barcelona. The objective of these two days’ debates
is to reach an agreement on which the lines of epidemiology research
will be; these are to lead the studies on lymphomas in the next
20 years: epigenetics, infections, analysis of survival, ocupation...
More than 100 world experts participate.
INTERLYMPH is an international consortium created six years ago
to provide a space for the discussion about the epidemiology of
the lymphoma, define common research lines, and allow the interchange
and addition of data from all over the world. The National Institute
of Cancer of the U.S.A. launched it; institutions well-known internationally
are part of it. ICO, through its Epidemiology and Cancer Register
Service is one of its members from the beginning.
