Last phase in the refurbishing of the façade of the ICO centre in
Hospitalet
Monday, 12th of February, the works in the small building
will begin. |

Monday, 12th of February, the last phase of the refurbishing of the façades
of the ICO building in Hospitalet, which will affect the whole of the
small building and a part of the big one. The works will start in the
part of the small building overlooking ICO’s park. During the first
days fences and scaffolds will be installed; these will be covered to
prevent the fall of materials and to protect the accesses. From this
moment onwards, the refurbishing works will consist of:

1. Pulling the adornments out |

2. Cleaning the façade with pressured water |
| |

3. Substituting the old tiles, pulling out the old concrete and improving
the conditions of the old structures |

4. Painting |
| |
In order to guarantee safety, from February 12th fences will be put around
the working area, the containers and the material, but the necessary
paths for access will be free all the time.
These works will take 18 months and have an estimated budget of €1.7
million. With these works, which are the first corresponding to external
maintenance since the building of the facilities, the refurbishing of
all the façades of the Duran i Reynals Hospital will be completed.
