The Baix Llobregat visits ICO in l’Hospitalet

The Institut Català d’Oncologia organized in summer further meetings with municipal representatives in order to make the activities and the aim of ICO more widely known.
At the end of July, mayors of 4 towns and villages in Baix Llobregat visited ICO in l’Hospitalet. Those were the visits of the mayor of El Papiol, Mr. Albert Vilà i Badia, the mayoress of Begues, Ms. Joana M. Badell i Ros, the mayor of Cervelló, Mr. Angelino Maestro i Martínez and the mayor of Santa Coloma de Cervelló, Mr. Josep Comellas i Martín.

These meetings with representatives of neighbouring towns are meant to make the tasks of the Institut Català d’Oncologia known, as well as to inform them of new projects and the different services, assistance and research activities which are now under way at ICO. During their visit they had a meeting with the management team of ICO and got to know some of the facilities of the Hospital Duran i Reynals, through a guided visit.
