ICO participates in the X National Congress of the SEEO and the
X AESMAS Congress
Some 50 professionals of the Institut
Català d’Oncologia
have participated, from May 17th. to the 20th., in the X
National Congress of the Spanish Society of Oncology Nursing
in Sevilla, under the title “Cancer: new focuses, new
perspectives”
There have been a total of 39 lectures, workshops, communications
and posters made by representatives of the ICO, among which
must be mentioned the communications in the final for a prize:

During three days of the congress there has been
a major representation of all the ICO nursing (Hospitalet, Girona
i Badalona), with a great number of de scientific presentations
by ICO professionals of all the services and areas: research, radiation
therapy, oncology, day-hospital, haematology, palliative cures,
brachitherapy, prevention and sanitary education.
At the General Assembly of members of the SEEO, Tàrsila Ferro, nursing
director of ICO, communicated that she is leaving her position of chairwoman
of the Society, which she had been holding since 2003, and there was election
to vote a new board.
Besides, ICO has also been present at the X A.E.S.M.A.S.
Congress (after the letters for Spanish Association of Medical Secretaries
and Administratives of Health), That took place in Donostia - San
Sebastián, from the 1st. to the 3rd. of de June, where the
