Welcome to the World Health Organization Collaborating Centre for Public Health Palliative Care Programmes.
The Centre was created in 2008 to promote the development of national palliative care programmes through a public health approach in countries in need of support. Based on the experience gained in Catalonia over 15 years as a WHO Demonstration Project for Public Palliative Care, the ultimate aim of the collaborating centre is to build up a large portfolio of activities in knowledge translation, research, training, advocacy and expert advisory commitments for the WHO, the supported countries and health authorities in Spain, and internationally. Our focus is on the organization, implementation and quality assessment of palliative care services and programmes. We are very much interested on the practical aspects of palliative care development and implementation.
Throughout the web site, you will find comprehensive information about the collaborating centre main research, training and support activities; its way of operating and on how to collaborate with it; informative material as well as useful links.
Your interest is very much valued. Do not hesitate to get in contact with us to share your views, needs, ideas and interests in the field of public health palliative care organization.
We will be delighted to cooperate with you in the most useful and fruitful way for your project and to adapt our efforts to your individual experience.
